Job Description:

We are seeking an Associate Director, Compliance, to join our growing team. This new senior

position will provide support to the Managing Director in further developing our compliance business. This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Managing Director with developing and implementing the Guernsey Compliance strategy.

  • Working as the primary link between the compliance team and the managing director, ensuing seamless communication and implementation of compliance strategies are upheld across the team.

  • To hold the names roles of MLRO, MLCO and CO for various licences.

  • Overseeing and when required reviewing and updating Redwood foundation compliance policies, procedures and controls.

  • Direct line Management responsibilities for the wider compliance team, to included training and support as required.

  • Commercial understanding and client relationship management of a varied client base; providing expert advice and guidance on a wide range of compliance matters.

  • Assisting with internal reporting to Group boards, including management information reporting and giving recommendations for future improvements.


We're Looking For:

  • An enthusiastic individual, who can work independently under pressure but who also enjoys supporting others and working cohesively.

  • Must hold a relevant professional qualification from a recognised body (e.g. ICA), or otherwise be qualified by experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and manage a team effectively.

  • Previous experience in a senior compliance role and comprehensive knowledge of the Guernsey regulatory environment. Experience of leading interaction with the regulator would be preferred, however a strong understanding of this process with willingness to lead in the future would be considered.

  • High levels of integrity and professionalism in handing sensitive matters.

  • Excellent problem- solving and analytical skills.

  • Previous MLRO, MLCO or CO experience.
